Why don't they make decent video's anymore?
I was watching the 40 reasons to love britpop last night and it struck me that they dont make videos like they used to.
Some effort used to be put in to making a story to it like Pulps Disco 2000 or Country House. Or the band would at least perform
Nowadays its just half naked women dancing around, it puts me off wanting to hear the song when i have to watch that. Yes i know i have radio but it aint the same
Anyone agree?

Its mostly the dance video's They just think ' i know lets get some skantily clad ladies to dance around' oooh thats mastermind that is!!
What bout Daft Punks Around the World, that was good.
Seriously, you're right about dance / R&B videos. It seems to be those mainly aimed at younger music buyers. SImilarly, most boy band videos just consist of the members of the band looking terribly earnest and beseeching as they croon tunelessly at the camera. Perhaps video makers don't think youngsters can appreciate the music and follow a story at the same time.
Equally, c00ky83 is right that good videos do still exist - you just need to hunt around more than you used to.
i totally agree all music videos are so similar some can be quite good and i dont mind it if the bands just perform but watching some stick thein model pole dance isnt my thing, hense the white stripes! the video for dont know what to with myself, theres a bad white stripes video! Dont even get me started on boybands if i see one more white suit honestly, its not even good music (nothing personal) now im nice and annoyed lol xx i luv the video for weezer keep fishin its a classic
