(Sorry guys - have posted this before, a year ago. Had no answers, but listened to the v. fuzzy recording from the radio I have, on a rubbish old cassette, again last night. Have tried web & Shazam from phone).

It's obviously a v.obscure tune - mid-paced; heavy, but commercial riff. Could be American, or FM/Shy-type British band from that era.

Sounds like it's called "Go Home" (from the chorus), and some of the lyrics are:

"Looking to find an answer, searching for a clue, why a man pits his life with a gun & a knife & loses. It's unsafe to walk the city,he's riding high, she's sitting pretty...his eyes are dark with anger...there's no denying he's standing on the wrong line...get away and hide" etc.

We want to do a cover version!

Thanks in advance.

Have tried to have a look to no avail. However, Lauren Laveren is offering a new service on XFM something like 'where the F" and it was successful for a friend of mine finding a version of eurythmics here comes the rain again which I posted on here before (ironically it was dave stewart!!) but give her a go!! they claim to find anything and if it's rock....
