Sorry if this question seems a bit morbid, but I'm just curious to know what people,if they had the choice of 2 songs, would choose to be 'sent over to the other side' with.My 2 choices would be the obvious 'Time To Say Goodbye' by Andrea Bocelli + Sarah Brightman, and the not-so-obvious choice of 'Angel' by Chiara, the Maltese Eurovision entry of last year and a fine song to boot.I could imagine popular choices would be Angels by Robbie Williams,or You Raise Me Up by Westlife or Brian Kennedy, for example.

judy garland - somewhere over the rainbow.

Greenday - Good Riddance (time of your life)

I totally agree with cliffsdoll, funerals should be a celebration of life. No black at mine either!!

ozzy osbourne-dreamer

scorpions-wind of change.

Only the good die young............Iron Maiden
Aah, I've told everyone I know this just incase I do go.

Days - The Kinks (very fitting) and
Don't Look Back Into The Sun - The Libertines (fave song)

Plus, I would mind the Vicar of Dibley themetune. But they'd have to mention I was no was religious.

Heaven Dj Sammey

Miss you Nights Cliff Richard

Alice Cooper - Escape

And something nice and rockin' to bow out with. Probably one of these:

Foo Fighters - Monkeywrench

Motley Crue - Kickstart My Heart

Green Day - Letterbomb

Burnin Alive AC/DC

Which makes no sense cause your already dead hmmm

I'm inclined to agree with all of you - so I'll be having a very long and musical funeral. My father-in-law recently had Roger Whittaker's version of the skye boat song (speed bonny boats) which seemed very fitting. The song 'From a distance' has been one of my favourites ever since I first heard it and is a definite on my list. Of course, it has to be the Simon Nichol version and not that ghastly pastiche by Cliff Richard (isn't he dead yet ?). One thing, and most importantly, my solicitors are under instructions that on the day of my funeral 'wish you were here' postcards are sent to every member of my family (I have already written them - adding 'look forward to seeing you soon'). He he !

comfortably numb Plink Floyd

Last Exit for the Lost - Feilds of the Nephilim

'Another one bites the dust' and 'Who wants to live forever?' Both by Queen
'You raise me up' by Westlife, as already suggested by someone, was played at my nephew's funeral last year so, unfortunately, this song always reminds me of that sad time. Such a lovely song as well!
As the curtain opens. Come on baby Light My Fire by The Doors, with the vicar saying " Andy asks that you laugh you barstads!"

Depending on whether Im religious when I go or not it will either be on eof these two ocmbinations (well this week anyway)

Panis Angelicus (Sting and Pavarotti) followed by Fly (Celine Dion).

or

Left outside alone (Anastacia) followed by Missing you (Puff Daddy ft Faith Evans)

Hurt by Johnny Cash and I'll Be Missing You by Puff Daddy and Here Without You by 3 Doors Down.

Sorry i had to pick 3. They all lovely songs!

1. Smooth Operator - Sade (My anthem)

2. Live Forever - Oasis
William Orbit - Barbers Addagio for Strings, played twice.
Brilliant Trees by David Sylvian. Cuz it would mean everything to my family and friends !!!

Time of your life - Green Day
One slip - Pink Floyd

oooh good choice Richard1966 I love Nephilim
Bye-Bye baby by the bay city rollers.
Oh, it may sound cheesy and possibly a tad insensitive but I know someone who had the countdown 'out of time' tune as the curtains closed
