does anyone remember the year the title and the artists of a song in the late 60s or early70s that went somthing like this there comming to take me away ha ha to the funny farm were life will be wonderful all the time threre coing to take me away ha ha

T my eternal shame,I actually bought it. Napoleon 1X the B side played it backwards. Used it to help light the fire one day when I came to my senses
wrote the artist wrongly. Napoleon X1V
A recording engineer named Jerry Samuels, who billed himself as Napoleon XIV, hit the top of the Billboard chart with a novelty song called "They're Coming to Take me Away, Ha-Haaa!" The song was banned by many US radio stations because it seemed to make fun of the insane. Originally released in 1966.

thanks for that rock and roll and guinnessman 1966 well i was only young 6 but my brother who was older than me bought and he used to scare me with it i allways feel a bit funny even now when i remember the words!!!
