Did The Cure ever make a song entitled 'Young American?' I heard it on the radio a couple of yrs. ago. I'm not sure if that's the exact title either, I'm assuming it is based on the refrain of the song. Advanced thanks!

I don't think that Cure ever recorded anything of that name. You can check out all their titles and all lyrics at ; www.letssingit.com
They once did a cover version of the Bowie song Young Americans for the radio station XFM.

re: leonard That's it! I assume that a recording was made of the Cure's version of Bowie's "Young Americans," but does anyone know where to get one? Thanks for all responses!
Leonard is correct. Cure did this cover for the Dublin radio station XFM. I believe that it was not recorded so therefore is not available commercially. If you want the lyrics visit; http://www.musicfanclubs.org/cure/lyrics/youngamer

The Cure's cover of 'Young American' can be found commercially.  It is on the box set called 'Join The Dots'.
