Can anyone tell me the song that starts with the line, 'I think ill go to mexico'it's driving me insane! it sounds like an American band if thats any help! Thanks.

No idea, but Google has thrown up "That's how that goes", by Brookelyn Bellinger (lyrics at http://www.brookelynbellinger.com/ if you need to check) and "I think I'll go to Mexico" by Gary P Nunn, on the album Ten Great Years at Kerrville Folk Festival, Vol 2 Disc 1, Silverwolf label. Hope that's a help.

Doesn't quite tally with your description but could it be 'Jesse' by the American Joshua Kaddison. The chorus inclodes 'We could go to Mexico.'
