Northern Soul? I'm not a fan myself but I know loads of people used to be into it a couple of decades ago. Is there anyone left?

Northern has always been an underground scene, and it has enjoyed a resurgence in the last few years. I live in Stoke, home of the world famous Torch soul club - we are on the southern fringes of the northern scene, but there are revivial nights held regularly here, and all over the Midlands.

Stuart Macone is an original Wigan Soul Boy and he will be presenting a new series of his excellent Northern Soul radio show 'All Singing All Dancing All Night' on Radio Two very soon - reccomended, look out for it.

N/S is still and probably massive here in Wigan and you can guarantee theres always somert going on associated with n/s. I`ll keep my ears open Andy and hope I won`t miss that radio 2 prog.
