is it possible to copy my old vinyl albums onto cd, if so, how?

The record turntables available from the Sunday supplements for copying vinyl straight to the hard drive apparently do a hideous job and they sound awful and are not worth the money. This was the report of a customer of mine who bought one for his father.

I did my vinyl to CD using my record deck, a disco mixer and a cd recorder other than that try and buy the albums you are after on CD as they will be already remastered by the record company....
