Downloaded Music
2 Answers
This is probably going to sound like a right divvy question to all you pc experts.I have downloaded some music using Imesh, and have separated the music into different files, ready to burn to disc.My problem is that when I drag and drop a song into a separate file,I would have thought it would then disappear from the main file that shows all downloaded songs, but now I have the same song in both files.I deleted one from the main file, but it deleted it from both files.Basically,I want to download a song, drag and drop it into a separate file, and for that song to then disappear from the 'all downloaded files' are of Imesh.

Thus you have duplicates of each file. This usually happens if you drag and drop holding the Ctrl key down. I do not understand why if you delete a file from "all downloaded files" it also deletes from "new location" as well: that is plain wrong, unless you created a shortcut to the original file in the "new location". If it were me I would move the files from one location to another by right clicking each file or a group of files then selecting cut then right clicking the destination and selecting paste.
Thanks very much j2buttonsw.Dragging and dropping using the Ctrl button is exactly what I did.I just assumed that if I did it like this,I could delete the file from the "all downloaded" file, but when I do this it does not actually delete the file, but the little Windows Media icon on the song changes to a small white box,and when I try to open the file,it wont let me.I will give your suggestions a try. Thanks again.
