Gary Glitter
This has nothing to do with ads. But I need some advice.
I am trying to organise a 1970s Glam Rock party with music from T.Rex David Bowie etc. But I am in a dilemma. Gary Glitter was very popular in those days, however, something is telling me not to play his records due to the fking beast that we all know now that he is. Even though his music was popular should I even be thinking of playing his songs? Many thanks in advance for any suggestions.

There is lots of good 70s music that you can play without resorting to playing the evil paedophiles works. When the music is played it will have different associations than the same music would have had in the 70s. A lot of people will be thinking about what he did rather than what he is singing, and could ruin the whole atmosphere of the evening. Nobody will notice if you just dont play any of the kiddy fiddlers music.
