Heard a songrecently , basically club music, probably recent, whose title may well be "Number One", at least the lyrics repeated this, possibly "You are [my?] number one" including a prolongued trumpet solo. Any ideas?

A real stab in the dark but the only record that I can think of that might come close is one from my youth, Lene Lovitch 'Lucky Number' however it is not recent - punk era actually. Worth a try anyway.

jibergurt - thanks. In the meantime I found out: it's the "Dreamcatcher's Mix" of "Straight to Number One" by Touch and Go.
