Have you ever made a promise??

Have you ever made a promise to a friend that you would do something for them, then wished that you hadn't ??
My friend is a recruitment consultant and was stuck trying to find people to go and waitress for her, so I said I would help her out.......
Now it has come to it, all I want to do is stay in and curl up on the sofa!!
Of corse I will go because I promised I would, but I will be thinking before I open my mouth next time!

I am sorry to say, I have many promises and have let about three quarters of them down!!

I love my home comforts and it is a real pain coming home from work and having to have to go out again!!

I have learnt over the years from saying yes and regretting it later. Now whenever I am asked to go somewhere I instantly say I am busy (I have several pre-prepared social events pick from) If I feel like going nearer the time then it is much easier to change your mind and say you can come after all than saying yes and then having to think of every excuse under the sun to get out of it.
