Whenwas the old song "Any umbrellas to mend today" first written? My frind says it was in the musical "the sound of music" but I remember my mother singing this to me when I was a girl & I'm 70 now (worse luck). Theres a tenner on this. Thankyou in anticipation. wvaleriechas.

My grandmother had a load of old 78rpm in her flat...I used to go up and listen to them.... there were a couple of Fannagan and Allen....songs....Underneath the Arches, The umbrella man, and a couple of comedy routines as well ..based on mispronunciation....shemeesis try (chemistry)

Cubeepharmical (pharmacutical)... she died 3years ago at 98yrs old...
