Thoroughly enjoying the current rerun of Jeeves & Wooster on TV but do you know of any films of this ilk -ie 1920-30's based comedy that I might also enjoy?

Do you mean T.V series or do you want to watch old 1930s films?

Thanks 123 everton - yes films mainly - comedy - produced 1980's up to now but based in the 20's & 30's - pre WWII
I really recommend Mapp & Lucia, based on the books by EF Benson and starring Prunella Scales, Geraldine McEwan and the one who played Sir Humphrey in Yes Minister.

Set in a small seaside town, it is about the rivalry between Mapp & Lucia to be the 'queen' of local society.

Was on channel 4 in the eighties, available on dvd.
I had come on to recommend Mapp & Lucia but jessiedogs already done it.. The books were brilliant too..
