R.I.P Tansy
58 Answers
For everyone who supported Frankie, I'm very sad to say that Tansy passed over the Rainbow Bridge at 3.30pm today, aged 22 years and 39 days. She had a lovely long life, but it doesn't make that last goodbye any easier.

I am sorry to hear that Tansy has died. I have a friend who's cat (of a very similar age) died last week.
It is always sad when a furry friend dies - they are so much of our life.
My friend's son found their cat in the greenhouse pretty stiff but still breathing. He put her in her bed hoping that she would just drift off. He got a hell of a shock when she tapped him on the shoulder and demanded cat food. But it was only a temporary reprieve.
I am sure that Frankie will miss her too - cats are very much animals of habit and hate things to change.
You aren't having much luck just now.

Hi Schutz, I caught your message back at the other thread. I'm relieved for you and Tansy Ed was on duty today, it will have made her calm being handled by him. Ready to sleep the big sleep, did he use those words, if so he sounds like an Indian Chief:-) It's a lovely metaphor. The blackbird in the park outside my window is singing his little heart out as I write this, I think it's for Tansy. Twentytwo years... my Sam(antha) was seventeen. It's a long long time, a big chunk of your life. Did she come to you as a kitten?
Hello, rinkins, totterdown, bigmamma, wolf, gelda, tiggerblue, rosetta, swedeheart, garner, and madaboutcats.
Thank you all once again for your support, I really needed it, and appreciate it. It's been a very sad day. I'm so sorry this has come straight after all the trauma and worry over Frankie, when we thought we were going to lose him, it really felt like the last straw, and I feel utterly exhausted. Thank heavens for you people who understand, as it certainly helps.
Much love to you all, and all the furry people. Schutz.
