Someone should tell them that it would have been appreiciated more if they had of just binned that record and asked everyone to donate �4.99 or however much the CD costs. Would have raised just as much money and saved a few eardrums.
it is awful and not a patch on the original which,altho a charity single is a classic song.
bob geldof has defended it by saying 'its not about the song,its about giving money to charity' - well if thats the case,why bother then ?
when watching the video it is painfully apparent that this was far too rushed and not put together properly.the 1st was rushed but worked perfectly as was
The original video/song was impromtu and spontaneous - it was early in the morning and most people looked like they had just got out of bed or worse. This attempt tried to be slick and looks for worse for it. I would think most of the "stars" in the vid only agreed to join in to avoid any negative publicity. Even the late 80's version with the like of Bros etc was better than this one.
