Who, in your opinion, is the best live act you've ever seen?  And who, dead or alive, would you like to see?

I've seen Moby 3 times and he is absolutely fab live, Cypress Hill were great too, as was Robbie Williams, Black Grape and Crowded House.

 

The worst would have to be Kelly Osbourne, Eminem and The Darkness, such a let down(wasn't expecting a lot from KO admittedly).

 

I am going to see The Streets soon and would love to have seen Elvis, Red Hot Chilli Peppers or REM.

I have seen Madonna twice live and she cant be beaten.  I wish I could have seen the Blonde Ambition Madonna tour as the video I have seen of it looks fab.  Oh and Robbie Williams gives a good show too.

Will always regret not seeing Queen with Freddie.  Still want to see Bowie.

 

Believe it or not, Tom Jones was the most brilliant performer I have seen live.  He was so talented and so charismatic - far better live than on television.

I saw The Fall a couple of years ago and the were absolutely blinding.

 

The Who would have been great in the very early seventies I reckon. The Clash would have been great too. You can still see REM or the Chillies, my mate saw them earlier this year. Elvis tickets would be a bit expensive though.

Would love to have seen Bob Marley or 2pac, only seen a few live acts, out of those, Fugees were the best - awesome !.

I know I can still see them, but at �62.50 a ticket for REM I can't afford to!

tough one.  Prince, Chilli Peppers, Dream Theater, , Chuck Berry, AC/DC - all put on excellent shows.  But I've still yet to see a gig to beat Spinal Tap at the Albert Hall many moons ago.

Forgot to say who I would like to see - two on my list, Madonna & Peter Gabriel.

Years ago, we saw Led Zeppelin live at Wembley. They were absolutely fantastic - something we will always remember, especially when they brought some pigs on stage half way through the concert - most bizarre!

 

On a different level - I would have loved to have seen Elvis live, but in his younger days.

Crowded House, I have to agree with Natalie. The Finn Brothers have just toured,and they did some old Split Enz stuff (probably 25 years old) that still sounded great.

Faithless are the best live act I've seen, although the Chilli Peppers were pretty awesome too.

Guns N' Roses were the best I've seen.  But it was the new line-up and I'd kill to see the original one, preferably circa 1988.

Gromit, I went there too - with Minnie Driver?  (I didn't go with Minnie Driver - she toured with them).  I think they were brilliant :)

Best is Bruce Springsteen by a country mile. Right up there are Pink Floyd, the Stones, U2, Muddy Waters and the Chillis. I'd love to have seen The Beatles.

I thought Minnie was OK, but the Finns were on top form. They have such a wealth of great songs that don't seem to date. Tim's dancing was great fun too. where did you see 'em?

Saw Queen with freddie(mid seventies) amazing,saw Thin Lizzy with Phil Lynott(around the same time) amazing,saw The Jam just after release of first album amazing,saw Roxy Music(5 times) first three the best(72/74). went to see Bryan Ferry a couple of years ago for the second time,(went there in a limo with 8 women and champers).Would have loved to seen Led Zep(tickets were a pound,only on 50p pocket money then),loved to have seen buddy Holly,Early Elvis(pre jump suits),Early Slade and T Rex.Going to see REM in july in millennium stadium,can't wait.

oasis are the best ive ever seen and the biggest let down are the scissor sisters.

And, of course, I saw Radiohead live at a really small gig and Shepherds Bush Empire last year.  Fantastic!

radiohead at glasto 97 was a bit special as were the shirehorses the day before .some other memorable ones were chumbawumba at the pitz in milton keynes in the early nineties ,and the blue areoplanes at the astoria in london ,with thier polish dancer whos a proper mentalist.
