When I was at college in the late 70's, a friend recorded a fantastic tune off John Peel's late night show.

It was a rock band playing the theme from 'For A Few Dollars More', and it was superb.

Can anyone suggest who it might have been, and if it was given any other title?

He wrote it.

I am looking for a rock band who recorded it.
a group called lockdown 107 recorded a song called "gunman" which was the same tune

Thanks Alex, I will look into that.

I suspect it is too old to be available now, but you never know I might find it on Limewire.

That was a red herring unfortunately

187 Lockdown did a song 'Gunman', sampled from a song in that film.

However they were a 'garage' act from the 90's, and it is truly awful.
Not this one then, LOL.?
