Welcome to this second week in the reign of ‘Princess Di’ (aka grannydi), who has one or two surprises lined up for you tomorrow. I have been informed that she has her new system up and running, so she can make a personal launch of her new set of link words and promises to guarantee this week’s challenge will be something to get your teeth into!
Speaking personally, this week has been much better for me. I am over my dose of “man ‘flu” and I am now up to date with my various crosswords ~ so all is well with the world! I have been stripping down various chandeliers in the croft (they were quite dusty) and next week I shall be “decking out with sprigs of holly”. I wonder how long the Christmas tree will withstand an assault from Harry. He is now nearly ten months’ old and is on the brink of talking and walking!
As usual, the MM posting should open at 8.45am and the four words to be linked should be declared at 9.00am tomorrow, when MM Links kicks off in earnest. Also look out for the international version of this same game is called KM Links, which has been designed for “Insomniacs Anonymous” and kicks off at a very early hour. But don’t worry, you can make your predictions at any time ~ without penalty! Keeping the rabble in check will be everyone’s favourite, seekeerz, who hails all the way from Oz to collate the entries and keep score. Why not chance your arm at both Link Games?
Good evening Jan and Strix.
Thanks crofter for opening up the shrubbery.
Has anyone got any news of Paulines recovery, probably sarumite will have some info if he's about tonight.
Evening all! I'm so sorry crofter ~ I am a bit of a bl***y nuisance when I get into your chandeliers, am I not? Delighted you have shaken off your 'man-flu' but please watch out what you do with those sprigs of holly!!I shall try to call back later but I think hot water bottles, blankets and hot drinks are required this evening Jan. Does anyone have any news of Pauline?
Ooh thank you xray! That's helped me solve one more (I had the first word but not the second). Still worried about one of the others; I know what I want the answer to be but I can't fit it exactly with the clue so am hoping I can find an alternative spelling.
Meant to drop in earlier but got caught up with another kind of puzzle - the jigsaw variety!
I do hope that you are all getting your thinking caps on for tomorrow - 9.00a.m.sharp.
I have been instructed to start work at 8.30a.m. does it really take all that time? we shall find out.
crofter has been marvellous in spite of his 'man flu', I shall have to pass on a little tip to him later for when he next undertakes a trip to foreign parts.
See you tomorrow folks.
I see above that some of you have been asking how Pauline is .....
She sent me a text earlier today saying that her consultant is hoping she may be able to go home later next week, and then a lengthy recovery will start, although it will be necessary to go back in to hospital for a few days after Christmas.
Pauline also said give everyone her love and to let you know she is missing you all.
Thanks Sarumite for that update on Pauline. Hope she gets better soon, the shrubbery is not the same without her. Along with the rest of the crowd, we all wish you a speedy recovery
