There was a song in the early 90's and (I think) the chorus started with

"It's funny how the girls you fall in love with never fancy you / It's funny how the ones you don't, do"

It's been melting my brain for about 2 years now!!  could anyone tell me what it's called and the name of the artist?

Thanks

Thanks Natalie!  You are a star.  Just got it ordered and will be able to relax now!!  Thanks again! S

Ah, Boing! What a cracking album. I've got it lounging around on cassette somewhere - think I may have to give it an airing.

"It's funny how the girls you fall in love with never fancy you / It's funny how the ones you don't, do"

Ah, the story of my life. All together now...aaaaahhhh.
I've never heard of the band or song, I just googled the lyrics - sorry!  In 1991 I was just coming up nine and was besotted with NKOTB, listening to anyone else would have been treachery.

Well Natalie, you're better than me cos I was sure I'd tried that and a million other things but couldn't find it!  Well done again!!
It's funny how this particular song seems to get asked about quite a bit on answerbank, even though it was never a big hit at the time. I wonder if this is just the tip of the iceberg, and there are actually millions of people out there who've had this song burrowing through their head for the last fifteen years and would all go out and buy it if it was reissued? Now there's a good idea...
