u2 concert

Could anyone tell me if theyve ever bought tickets for a concert with Ticketmaster.co.uk as I want to buy tickets for a U2 concert tomorrow morning and just wondered if anyone has dealt with Ticketmaster before.  Cheers

I brought tickets for a new years eve party last year in birmingham. When we got to birmingham we found out that the event had been cancelled we got on the phone to ticklet master and they advised us that we could use our tickets elsewhere and were very helpful.

I have also used them to book usher tickets and had no problems

I bought tickets to see busted through ticket master. I had to take the kids before any one has a go.The service was fantastic but the seats were terrible.Any further back and I would have been in the car park.

It may be worth you knowing that when tickets went on sale for U2's gigs in mainland UK, the Ticketmaster website couldn't handle the demand and either crashed or slowed down. A work colleague of mine ended up telephoning Ticketmaster and managed to secure tickets, over the phone rather than via the web.

Cheers for that starman, I thought I would have had a better chance via the website with Ticketmaster rather than the phone, but I'll try the phone and then try this and just hope this god damn thing doesent crash on me, everyone has told me the tickets will sell out extremely quickly with it being in Dublin, so basically when they go on sale at 8am tomorrow morning its gonna be one mad rush. I've bought loads of tickets for rock concerts from Ticketmaster with no problems at all.  If you are buying seated tickets, you can even look up the venue seating plan so that you can tell where you'll be sitting.

I have used ticketmaster a couple of times recently.

 

A couple of weeks ago I bought tickets for Queen + Paul Rodgers.  I knew that it was going to sell out and was prepared for a long wait to book.

 

I got on their website at 9-55 (tickets going on sale at 10am) and also phoned them.  I spent the next 20 minutes or so waiting for the booking page to appear on the screen or for someone to answer the phone (had recorded message).

 

At 10-20 I got the booking page on their website and within another 2 minutes had booked my tickets.

 

I never got an answer on the phone though.

 

This is not a criticism of Ticketmaster, but when tickets go on sale for a major tour, you must be prepared to wait for a response from them.

 

I have booked through them at a less busy time and got a reply and booked instantly.

 

I recommend ticketmaster.
