We live in politically correct times; a time when we can accuse members of our Royal Family of murder (Princess Diana) but our children cannot sing "Baa Baa Black Sheep" at school.

Children are no longer afraid of the Police, it is the other way round. In years gone by, a police officer would have clipped an insolent child around the ear and sent him on his way. These days they have to wear stab-proof vests and respect peoples' "human rights".

So the question is... do you think our society is better than it was 50 years ago?

I'm sure you have a rough idea of how society worked back then.

My kids are scared of the police....and other adults.

I guess some kids are still scared of authority, Ummmm... but it depends on how they're brought up.

I've seen young mothers walking down the road, kids in tow, f-ing and blinding in front of their young offspring. The mind boggles.
