RIP... Loved his stuff..... once surreally strolled down Baker St in the height of summer with Baker St on my headphones... bliss.....shame he went the way of the bottle....

did anyone see him with Billy Connolly in Humblebums ?? Brilliant pairing..at that time Billy was well into his banjo stuff, at which he is very good !

I dont know anything else of his work other than Baker St. and most famous part of that is Raphael Ravenscroft saxophone piece. Sorry!

Baker Street reminds me of being snowed-in in 1978. I had an album of his called Night Owl which was the follow-up album I think. I heard him on Radio 2 in recent years and it sounded like he was trying to make a come back but it must have been at the time when he was an alcoholic and it didn`t really happen.
