Beady eye? I think LG needs to leave the whole "creative music" thing to NG and stop making knock of cd's that only someone hard of hearing my purchase
I respect him as a singer and being bolshy and all and being a memorable front man but the creative blood ran through Noel

Noel was the 'talented' one (IMVHO) ... damn shame when they split though.

Haven't really listened to Beady Eye enough to form an opinion.

after 2-3 listens the beady eye songs werent catchy , didnt have decent intros or solo guitar play, LG's voice sounded very enhanced not like listening to Live forever or Supersonic.

I know next to nothing about this type of music and I only looked at this question because (having forgotten to buy the haggis) I'm finishing off Burn's Night by working my way towards the bottom of a bottle of whisky. In fact, my knowledge of this type of music is so abysmal that I had to google 'Beady Eye' to work out what you're post was about!

However, having found their official website:

and clicked on 'The Roller', I found myself listening to a second-rate imitation of a Beatle's-style number. Given that's what the entire output of Oasis sounded like to me, I see no change there at all.

Heard a Beady Eye tune on Radio 2 this week, im assuming the latest song and i didnt think it was that bad to be honest. It isnt up to Oasis standards and is a blatant John Lennon style/copy. Also (as you pointed out) it sounds like a lot of studio trickery has been used to enhance Liam's voice.
But it was a catchy tune and i didnt hate it!

Only heard the two singles thought the first wouldn't have got a release if it wasn't him
2nd's better but I won't be buying.

As for NG the stuff towards the end of Oasis was rather... tame I think its time both rested on thier laurels.
