there is a band probally in the 70's/80's where all the girls in the band are dressed in full black and were emotionless and the male lead singer wore a black leather coat.

I know its vague but does it ring any bells?

He was in the Addicted to Love video, yes.

Although the 'palmer girls' did feature in a lot of his songs.
