I received a second phone call from a builder re the above and I told him that I couldn't hear well and I would send him an email re the matter.

I did want him to come out to view what I wanted and the price etc.

The mail was made on Thursday but I haven't heard anything from him.  

Do I wait from him and get a friend to perhaps contact him via phone or shall I view another builder.

I am worried that I don't get a good builder.  Where do I start.  Thanks

Builders etc. are often busy. I asked a gasman for a boiler quote & it didn't come. When I asked him again he said "Oh, I thought I'd sent it." (he hadn't) .

You will have to chase them if you want owt done.

I always say I'm not going to chase someone to give them my money!  If he doesn't reply in a few days, move on to someone who wants the work (as long as he's competent of course)
