No.
Do you have a link sandy?
No
thought it was 53 quid a week, and no i haven't, and won't be, total waste of time.
Agree em.... A week is not long enough to really feel the pinch

Don't see any point in doing so whatsoever!

This petition might help him to eat his words. On fifty quid a week he wouldn't have much else to chew on.
No. Mainly because I have already stated that I think it can be done by a single person (having done it myself although i was actually working, just not earning very much), although it's obviously a struggle. I'm not sure what exactly he'd be accomplishing by doing it to be honest.
The whole issue is wildly skewed, the man who originally challenged him had £53 left after bills.....how much would a single man of IDS age have left after bills from £71 JSA?
No and I won't be.
No, it would be a complete waste of time and achieve absolutely nothing.
Thanks sandy
you could do it, i have, only if all the other bills are taken care of, you couldn't possibly do it if you have to find rent, council tax, food, utilities, and the thousand other things that one pays for.

The thing about long term unemployment on little money is that it eats away at hope. You can come to feel that this is the way it's going to be, forever.
IDS, or any of the other politicians who actually have played at being poor, could never know the feeling.
I couldn't do it..............my fags and gin cost more than £53.
Question Author
You'd need to economise. Smoke Golden Virginia roll-ups and change to a cheaper drink. Cider, maybe?
Now you're being silly Sandy..........
sandy, thats the point, not just IDS but anyone who bangs on about how they could survive on little are just being daft, no one can if you want to have a smidgen of pleasure out of life. And to have little money eats away at you, at your self esteem and your life seems pointless, as though you don't matter, count, i have been there, and it's bloody horrible.
LOL craft ( you back on the Gin then?)
