How Will The Eu Vote Go?

We have lots of posts from the 'leave' and the 'stay' sides on AB but how despite your own convictions do you really believe the vote will go?
I am firmly in the 'stay' camp and I think the 'stay'vote will be around 55% , what do the rest of you think?
I do NOT mean your own view but what you think will actually happen at the referendum.

The Q is not how should we vote but what will happen. For the reasons I have given, demographics, passion, determination, I am plumping for LEAVE to win the day.

I wouldn't care to say. I'd expect the result to be very close. With respect to the passion, though -- you probably can't get more passionate about voting than the "Yes Scotland" Camp, but in the end the signs that they were going to win or come scarily close was enough to compel all the quieter "no" voters to turn up. A similar thing is possible here. If things look like they are going to be close then both sides would be, I hope, encouraged to turn up -- in particular, that might negate the passion of the Brexit supporters.

I'm worried, either way, that the result is going to be so close that it's hardly decisive even if we voted to stay. Nothing short of a total hammering for Brexit would convince them to shut up about it, and that's hardly likely. I don't see it going more than 55-45 either way, and at this stage that's basically a dead heat.

I think it's going to be a very close run contest, The EU need us more than we need them, for the record I'm voting Leave having seen how well we functioned before the EU link-up.

No one has yet pointed out that if the UK govt. determined on a policy of LEAVE, they could do so quite legally without the need for a referendum, and few would bat an eyelid.

But big names looking at what is in their own interest, not wanting change a situation that suits them, might persuade many to miss the opportunity to regain sovereignty over themselves.

i`d like to hope the leave camp will win as I think standing on our own might just reinvigorate the country a bit but, with no disrespect, I think a lot of people will just vote for what they`ve known for most of their life.

I agree with jim360. I think that as on here, people who support staying in the EU feel they would get abuse from the more ardent 'leave' supporters, so they keep quiet. However when it comes to the actual poll no one but them sees where they put the cross, so they vote with their belief.
( on AB I have been accused of 'being a millionaire' and ' having my snout in the trough' for showing support for 'stay' when the truth is I am a 65 year old on pension credit without a valid passport)
If you follow the betting on the link I supplied you can see the odds against a 'leave' vote lengthening by the day, so I still think the 'Remain' vote will be around 55%.

I think they are simply too embarrassed to admit that they like being told what to do from Brussels. Personally I prefer home grown politicians, we could try to deal with their failure to properly represent us if outside control was removed first, allowing our efforts to not be in vain.

I think the vote will be to leave Europe by a small margin........ we will never leave though so there will be a renegotiation of terms and a second vote will find that we will be staying.
Just like in Ireland a while back. Keep voting till you get the right answer.
