I have voted in every General Election for the past sixty years and not once has my vote counted because of our first past the post system. Until we get proportional representation it seems I shall miss out - unless I move house ...... or party!

And I am asking why you would think I’m not eligible?
Voting for the Green Party is like not voting at all

"Voting for the Green Party is like not voting at all"

Then you evidently haven't read many of my answers on this thread.

Lions don't lose sleep over the opinion of sheep. I'll be the change I want to see and vote for the MP I want to see win rather than vote for a party I on't like or support just to try topple the system.

I can sleep tonight comfortable knowing I had my say and that I voted for a party that I felt morally OK with doing.

You can sleep tonight knowing that you could of had a say about our kingdoms political situation but chose not to simply because you felt it would be a waste.

Now you're telling me my vote is a waste?

If you're not voting then you have no say on this thread RR.
Good for you. Give yourself a carrot, TD

"And I am asking why you would think I’m not eligible?"

If you re-read my original answer you'll see the reason I thought you may not be eligible is because you weren't going to vote.
That's the main reason people don't vote. Because they're not eligible.

I'll take it off the snowman.
//If you're not voting then you have no say on this thread RR.//
Blimey. Could you be any more of a bully?

If you're not voting then you have no say on this thread RR.

That’s is not your decision to make unless you suddenly morphed into Ed
There are many reasons people don't vote, such as... having no trust in it (fair enough after the referendum, esp), not knowing who to vote for, not having anyone they want to vote for, believing it will make no difference if they do, etc.
TD, there are many who are eligible who o not bother to vote, that is why the turnout is never anywhere near 100%.

And I have given my reasons for not voting but he is choosing to ignore them and instead make silly remarks
The question was about who doesn't know who to vote for. An answer saying "no point voting for anyone", is perfectly valid, surely?
Question Author
I feel those who don't vote don't really have a say over politics. So if you're not voting why have a say on a political thread? If you want a say RR, go out and vote.
She has told you why. Everybody is entitled to opinions... whether they feel anyone else represents them or not. And if it is not worthwhile in voting- that is a valid opinion.
Would you...honestly...reply the same way to anyone else who stated they'd chosen not to vote? I'm sure many who make that choice have given a lot of thought to it, and to tell them they have no right to an opinion on this sort of thread sounds very undemocratic.
TD, you've no business telling anyone what or where to post. Get over yourself.
TD //So if you're not voting why have a say on a political thread? //
The AnswerBank does not say who can have an opinion on a subject. Your comment is unacceptable to the spirit of the AnswerBank.
Your getting quite nasty now.
Ed asked us to keep to the subject- I have you cannot dictate who comments on your post
//I feel those who don't vote don't really have a say over politics. //

Really? I voted leave like the majority in that referendum. Clearly ,up to now, my vote didn't count did it ?
You voted wrongly, retro... like most of us....
The British public are so stupid that we need a dress rehearsal first, before we have a "proper" vote to get the right answer.... ;-)
