I have voted in every General Election for the past sixty years and not once has my vote counted because of our first past the post system. Until we get proportional representation it seems I shall miss out - unless I move house ...... or party!

"The British public are so stupid that we need a dress rehearsal first, before we have a "proper" vote to get the right answer.... ;-)"

Well when you have those in the governing party blocking brexit because they feel they know best, it does give off that impression doesn't it?

I wonder if those who voted for brexit will vote for a party that didn't fulfil the public's desires.

RockRose I am sorry for saying you can not post on my thread. You can, of course, do what you want.
Pasta //Would you...honestly...reply the same way to anyone else who stated they'd chosen not to vote?//

No. TD only tries to bully females. Just watch and see.... xx
TD, it was Remainers blocking Brexit. As soon as the results were in, Remainers should have been replaced.
//You can, of course, do what you want.//
Thank you TD for your permission to do what I want!

"it was Remainers blocking Brexit."

Conservative remainer MP's. Yes.
I don't need to... I have seen for myself. Are you still hot on the report button, out of interest? Or are you happy to answer for yourself? X

Yes, any Remainers from any party should have been sidelined, as they clearly were not going with the wishes of the country. We shouldn't keep having to ask for the same thing over and over again. This is the third time, we have had to reiterate that we want to leave. Democracy is a joke.
Apologies then... x

So Pixie374, I wonder if those with remainer conservative MPs will still vote for those remainer conservative MPs.
I cannot in good consciousness vot DUP or Sinn Fein or SDLP
I don't know, but it doesn't matter... as we already have the results for that. I have only voted today (again) to confirm it. But I do feel it shouldn't be necessary to vote for the same thing, three times.
I have voted Leave, Brexit Party and Conservative... recently. All to attempt what we asked for in the first place.
Question Author
RR I would vote for Sinn Fein in that situation.

Pixie, I voted Remain (referendum) - Libs (for MEP) - Green (Today).
Ok says more about you I think
Fair enough, TD. But honestly- do you not think, that as most of the country want to leave, that that should actually be respected?
What is democracy otherwise?
Question Author
"do you not think, that as most of the country want to leave, that that should actually be respected?"

I'm not sure you can be 100% certain that is the case anymore.

An awful lot of people who voted in 2017 are now dead. An awful lot of ineligible people who couldn't vote in 2017, now can.

Not to mention how tight the result was anyway, and not to mention the lies that were used for foundation for votes.

I believe in having another referendum where the gov campaigns for Remain.

Vote Green.
TD, that is absolutely a cop-out, as you know... why would anyone ever bother to vote again, if the government of the time could just ignore it, until they believe enough people have died? Do you think there is any integrity in that at all?
They need to carry out the results first. If, in several years, people then change their minds, that is fair.
Referendums, I thought.... were meant to be once in a generation at most?
TD, The government campaigned for Remain the last time. That didn’t stop the majority voting to Leave. The question was ‘Do you think the vote should have been respected?’’
