Boris made an appearance / statement / address to the UK public.? After watching a doctor being interviewed last night on TV, and still having problems breathing, I do wonder now if he's avoiding the flak.

He spoke to the Nation as soon as he left hospital.
Prob at a adder meeting
I hope not- he probably needs to rest until at least next week. I think he'll still look ill, but maybe that might shock people into realising how serious Covid can be even for the under 60s. Anyway, it depends on what his advisers advise. I think he's learnt his lesson for battling on while unwell
every briefing by one of his deputies (except Sunak) makes him look better.
Question Author
Regardless of what he may be doing behind closed doors, he should be addressing the public.
Maybe he’s like the doctor you saw being interviewed and still has breathing problems of his own?
He addressed the nation when he left hospital. You must have missed it, teacake. Just in case you missed more of the news he's now recovering from a serious illness.
TC //regardless of what he may be doing behind closed doors, he should be addressing the public.//
Why should he?
I’m surprised he has not had the video out since his discharge. He’s never been camera shy ?
Question Author
He should be seen to be leading the country not leaving it to others, I'm sure if he was still having breathing difficulties we would have been informed, no breathing problems seem to be present on his first video.
So you admit, he has made an appearance since leaving hopspital?
Cut him some slack, poor sod’s been in intensive care and you want him faffing about ‘addressing the nation’.
Question Author
12.03 why should he? em, he's the PM / leader.
Question Author
12.22 I'd like to see him be rid of the ones that are faffing about.
Question Author
12.22 I think everyone saw that, we now need a leader not a film star.
What do you want him to say, teacake - over and above what others are saying?
teacake wrote // I do wonder now if he's avoiding the flak. //

and what 'flak' do you think he may be avoiding?

I doubt he's fit enough to do a questions to PM session, and what could he say in a Statement that's not already been said by his minions?

A doctor gasping a few sentences on TV is hardly the same as the head of the Government giving a speech.
Question Author
12.26 the truth would be a very good start.
Ah, so now you’ve admitted your OP was in-factual you’ve moved the goalposts to criticising his delivery.
Question Author
12.27 He manage a speech, after coming out of hospital with no problems.
