Time For Hancock To Go
Talks a good job, but fails to act. False statements, false promises, false targets, failed to protect the elderly, failed to protect NHS workers, failed to protect care workers, failed to get PPE, failed to get testing kits, well he did buy millions, but he never got them tested to see if they worked. failed to report true death rates in care homes. In fact I can't think of one thing he has achieved. If he stays in his position any longer you will see more NHS staff die, along with many more. Get rid Boris, we need action not fancy talking.

Has I said, no funding from government = not enough PPE, and the latter is what's killed them. And to the ones who keep on bragging about going out to clap, many NHS workers have made it know, that the first week was fine and they appreciated it, but we no longer want to have sleepless nights worrying about going into work next day, fearing for our lives. So to the clappers your just contenting yourselves really nothing more than that, all top show .
Yes they've delivered 100.000 if you believe that then your a fool, but otherwise, they say they've delivered 100.000, but about 30.000 that they sent by post they are waiting on to be returned, hence they have not tested 100.000 with results pending. ok. must be a distribution and return problem. :0)
Of the 122,347 tests provided in the 24 hours up to Friday morning...the total testing figure includes 27,497 kits which were delivered to people's homes and also 12,872 tests that were sent out to centres such as hospitals and NHS sites. So that's over 80000 that were done in the normal way plus there would have been some received back and processed but not counted in today's figure as they had been counted previously when sent out.
If they continue to do/provide 100000 a day then there's no argument unless lots of people who ask for them simply throw them away

As far as I can see, even if it's a bit of a fudge to claim that they met the target with only posted but not yet processed tests, it's still as near as dammit. 100k was such an arbitrary figure. What matters is that testing capacity is finally growing significantly and is getting closer to where it will need to be. Widespread testing is going to be a vital part of any exit strategy.

As it was wasn't made clear the figures included those sent out in the post, can we be certain they are not counted again when the test is carried out?

22.08 May be, but are they sure the tests work? that's the big question when the likes of Hancock start from the outset telling lies, then it almost impossible to ever believe them again, that's what I said from the very beginning that it was important that the government came clean about everything no mater how bad the news may be.

Yes, TCL. Professor Newton explained the counting procedure . Internal cases are counted when done. The external ones sent in the post or via third parties are counted as sent out.
I'm not sure why- maybe the external ones go to a different place.
It'll be interesting to see what the return rate is on the ones posted out. If it's over 90% that's okay. If 60% then that wouldn't look good and would mean the method of counting would be discredited.
