Biden - Why Are They Allowing Him To Run?

It makes no sense.  The whole world can see he isn't fit.  What's the reasoning behind it?

Er indoors just asked me that! The problem is that unless he stands down himself it's very difficult to stop him running. I think there is a mechanism in the party and possibly a legal one based on some sort of mental state check. The party may well use whatever they have to replace hinm but they'll see that as a last resort and a total embarrasment.

There's another consideration, Republicans will vote for Trump, no matter what.

Democrats for Biden.

The undecided, swing voters, will have to ask themselves which is the best of a bad lot.

well it's showing up the flaws of what the Founding Fathers came up with back in 1774/5/6 - 1. That they never imagined a president or future president being a criminal or facing a charge - a lack of moral turpitude as they call it over there. 2. that an incumbent or candidate for a post being mentally diminished would hang on as Sleepy has done so - so far.

It can't be right that it's his choice.  If he's not up to the job he should be theoretically sacked and replaced.  It's madness not to do that.

Is he even able to make the choice? If he is suffering with dementia or similar, is he aware?

I said elsewhere that I feel sorry for him. Not just due to what seems to be his mental incapacity,  but also that others are allowing it to be so damn public. If you love, admire, or care for someone...whether a relative, friend or co- worker...you try to protect them. Not allow public shame of this sort.

I agree with you pasta.  I feel sorry for him too.  I simply don't understand why they're allowing it to continue.
