A close friend of mine yesterday mentioned on the phone that the UK has first dibs on Greenland if Denmark ever wants to sell it....a treaty dating back to 1917, the Americans declining their interest at that time, Wilson the Potus at the time...
Okay one could argue that now this is Canada - and indeed they share a small island with Greenland.
My question to S was 'does the treaty include the Faroes - they would be worth having for fishing, oil and tourism, beautiful that they are....
