is it me or is everyone missing the point??
mps and the public keep on about the BNP could get seats in to parliament and how its out of order! my question is why are people voting for them then!!
could it be people are fed up with letting everyone who wants too come in claim benefits, get what they can, yet have paid nothing in to our country, my own opinion is when i see in france all the immigrants queueing up at the french docks trying to get here and our mps see it everyday and do nothing about it, its no wonder the BNP are getting more and more peoples votes i would not be surprised in the least if one of their candidates gets voted in!!

There's a perception, whether rightly or wrongly held, that we are being flooded with undesirables and spongers. The BNP plays to that. Their campaign leaflet , just received here, gives an idea of the BNP: " [Our key pledges]: Oppose the dangerous drive, backed by the other main parties, to give 80 million low-wage Muslim Turks the right to swamp Britain"Hmm. That also gives a clue to their style! First of all, according to the CIA's estimate, the population of Turkey in 2009, is only 76 million. The innuendo is that the whole population of Turkey (and then some), men, women and children, every one of them curiously, low-waged could come here (and would?).Second, this predicates that Turkey will become a member of the EU.This looks unlikely.Third, it ignores the fact that 'low-wage' Turks would be subject to the same minimum wage laws as every one else.If there's no low-wage work, they won't come.We might ask why, if there's this work about, the native British are not doing it.And finally, it plays up the fact that Turkey is a muslim country.Evidently the BNP seems to think that any muslim is bad news!
I dont particularly like the BNP but they do have some good ideas:-
For example last year some of the BNP members and other volunteers starting patrolling the streets of a borough in East London at night, because there was no police presence at all.
This embarassed the local police enough for them to step up their own patrols, as too many police officers were stuck in their offices pen pushing.

>So why are they voting for the BNP
Immigration is one of the biggest issues facing this country (if you are for it or against it it is still a big issue).
But all the main parties put leaflets through my door a week or so back for the election, and not one of the mentioned it.
Even if there was a general election, none of them would mention it, to the main parties it is a non-subject.
The problem is, as long as the puiblic continue to vote for the 3 main parties they take that as condoning the continued rate of immigration.
People believe it is a big issue, and if the main parties are not prepared to talk about it then people will vote for a party that do.
I dont want the BNP in power, but if it takes them winning a couple of seats in parliament to make the main parties sit up and take notice so be it.

The other thing that surprises me is that why if you are anti-immigration are you automatically racist?
It is not about RACE, it is about NUMBERS.
If somone broke into my house and took over one of my bedrooms I would call the police and hopefully they would remove them.
Does that make me racist?
No, I am just trying to protect my home.
Well England is my home, and I am trying to protect that as well.
The main parties dont seem to want to protect my home (England) at all, and continue to allow anyone and everyone to come here, with almost no check on their skills, education, ability to speak English, and so on.
And they seem very lax on illegal immigration and fake asylum seekers as well.
All people are doing is trying to protect their home country.
