Have we gone completely bloody mad????
http://www.thesun.co....-of-Chinese-pair.html
so next time I am away from home and someone asks me to say" Whay Aye"(which has happened often) or strikes up a rendition of the Blaydon Races
do I report this to the Police? and have them done for blatant racism....too daft for words imo!

This offends me as much for its inaccuraccy, as its intended racism. I occassionaaly correct people who use Pakls for Bangladeshis pointing out that they are two different countries, like mixing up England and Scotland. No, they protest, all Asians are Pakls. Well I've tried.

There is a greater argument about 'power' in racism that is probably disproportionate to this little localised debate.
Suffice to say, that between people of a similar skin tone, geographical location, religious outlook and financial clout, etc. many 'racist' comments can be down-graded to the level of *banter*..........
Stepping outside those constraints but continuing to apply the same mind-set often causes unintentional offence.
