/// You've forgetten Myra Hindley. ///
She was 21 and her victims were between 10 and 17.
Still horrific crimes, but not committed by a 17 year old on a 4 year old.
You say "in the 1960s marriage under the age of 21 was common" which is more than can be said for a large proportion of today's couples, many who don't marry at all, and those that do marry, do so much later in life?
But regardless of that, I do not know what this has to do with me blushing at the age of 17, in my day a 17 year old was little more than a child, in fact one had to go on for another 4 years to reach the age of 21, which in those days was the age when you received 'The Key To The Door'.
