At last perhaps if these two are convicted of the savage murder of Stephen Lawrence, a line can be drawn under this long ongoing case?

Interesting to note however that one of the accused has not stood trial for this case before, yet the other one was found not guilty in a private prosecution way back in 1996.

Both men where arrested back in September and have been held in custody since, and since their trial will most likely not take place until November, they will have been behind bars for over a year without a trial.

Surely if they have enough new evidence to warrant a new trial, then it should not take over a year for that trial to take place?

Murder is a heinous crime which deserves an appropriately long sentence.
My only reservation is that with a "cause celebre" case, which this one has been ever since it happened 18 years ago, is that it seems to take on an importance not accorded to other just as serious murders.

I sincerely hope that it is solved, as I do about all similar crimes.
I fail to see how they will get a fair trial
If the victim had been white would this still be going on ?... I doubt it very much
if the victim had been white.....

Er, Rachel Nickel took ages, Milly Dowler took ages, and lots of white old women raped over a period of years took ages.
aog how can Gary Dobson get a fair trial you favorite paper named him as the guilty person years back.
I think everybody in the country has seen his name in some paper or on tv.
Watch this video clip aog and you will see the mail name and shame the killers
