Oh dear, oh dear, perhaps there should be a march for 'DRUNKS' say?
They could carry boards saying 'DRUNK', 'ALCOHOLIC' etc.
They should feel free to drink as much as they like, without some attacking them in the street or calling for a ban on alcohol.
After all is it anybody's business how much they drink?

He appears to be using the example of an alcoholics march to sarchastically/tongue-in-cheek illustrate the ridiculousness of the Slutwalk march, as he sees it.
Unfortunately, it's not very funny (if I'm right of course that that's what he's doing). Because it completely misunderstands the march he's linked to and thus lacks any kind of insight or edge.
The point of the march, as AOG's link quite clearly describes, is to argue that women have the right to dress in a 'slutty' way if they want to without people using that to imply that it's their own fault if they get raped. The implication of what AOG has said, if I've read it right, is that this isn't a message he's particularly sympathetic to, for reasons he has yet to describe.

A march for drunk people? How about drug addicts too! I see the slogans now-
WE HAVE A RIGHT TO KILL OURSELVES AND/OR DECREASE OUR LIFE QUALITIES/LONGEVITY. then, PLEASE DIE AT THE WHIMS OF OUR MORE VIOLENT MEMBERS. OOOH! or for smokers -- SECOND HAND SMOKE IS MOST DEADLY. ALLOW ME TO REMOVE FROM YOU THE BURDENS OF THIS WORLD

Well I automatically thought that some ABers were intelligent enough to look into the deeper argument, but apparently not it seems, it is not about drunks per se hence the word 'perhaps'.
No my obviously misunderstood analogy, was a way to try and highlight the futility of these type of marches which try and change the public's perceptions on a particular issue, but obviously I failed.
Such persons as JTH started off the proceedings by correcting my spelling, which apparently she only bothers to do when she disagrees with certain persons points of view, this in turn started up the rest of the Anti AOG Brigade off and that doesn't take much.
The ED has told us time and time again to keep on track, but she and others apparently fail to obey the rule.

You failed to communicate what you were saying, AOG - nobody is responsible for that but you. Grow a damn spine and stop whining.

AOG - you and I have both fallen foul of the hidden pitfalls for 'written-only' communication which can mean that irony and humour are unintentionally lost and misunderstandings in tone and meaning do occure regularly.
It is inappropriate therefore to infer that anyone who has failed to understand your points is responsibile because of some inferred deficiency in intelligence on the readers' part, rather than the possibility that you failed to make your point clearly.
Perhaps you would like to address a response to me personally - something you have recently ceased to do, for reasons of which I am unaware.
Thank you.
