///Sean Hoare, former News of the World showbiz reporter who was the first named journalist to allege Andy Coulson was aware of phone hacking by his staff and a one-time close friend of Coulson's, found dead///

MI5 have stated categorically they do not do assassinations and state publicly on their MI5 website.

So who else would want him bumped off?

Surely not the police that would be extending credibility too far wouldn't it?

So who makes up these dark forces with intelligence to pry into anyone's personal life, always know the victims whereabouts, who have widespread influence and can gain access?

Was he killed, or did he commit suicide? Is it a suspicious death? Or was it natural causes?

They said the same about David Kelly and the case is still ongoing.
Himself. He drank himself to death. Friends who had recently seen him desribed him as 'yellow' in complexion, the result of liver failure.
He'd had a long-standing drink problem and had recently become very jaundiced looking.......I don't think it is too great a leap to think that this recent debacle would have increased his drinking to a level his body could no longer sustain.

They also said he became paranoid the few weeks leading to his death. Maybe he wasn't paranoid after all for his predictions came true.

David Kelly also said dark forces were out to get him...was he paranoid also?
Prince Philip?
Excessive drinking resulting in paranoia is not uncommon.

If it was murder as you seem to be implying, it is a bit late. The hacking scandal is out in the public domain, why murder a whistle blower after the whistle has been blown? If you are going to do it, you would kill him to stop him talking.
the police say it isn't suspicious. Mind you, they said the whole hacking business wasn't suspicious.

Chief witness I would have thought. Now that there are many senior people in the frame including Murdoch himself the stakes have been raised to a much higher level.
He openly admitted to a neighbour that someone was out to get him, and he told the neighbour that if anyone asked where he was to tell them he was out somewhere.
'MI5 have stated categorically they do not do assassinations and state publicly on their MI5 website.'- well it must be true then if they say so. Ask Pat Finucane's family, I'm sure they'll agree.
They might not agree, but that doesn't mean anything I'm afraid.
Man who broke controversial news story dies. MI5/MI6/space aliens get blamed.
Boring.
why would the mI5 want to kill him anyway?

///Pat Finucane: A controversial killing

Pat Finucane: The picture used by loyalist killers
The killing of Belfast solicitor Pat Finucane by the loyalist UDA/UFF remains one of the most controversial of 30 years of violence.

Loyalist paramilitaries shot Mr Finucane 14 times as he sat eating a Sunday meal at home, wounding his wife in the process. The couple's three children witnessed the 1989 attack.

In its statement claiming the killing, the UFF said they had killed "Pat Finucane, the IRA officer". While Mr Finucane had represented IRA members, the family vehemently denied the allegation - and have been supported in this by the police.

But, what has made the investigation into his murder so important to many in Northern Ireland is that it lies at the heart of allegations that some members of the security forces collaborated with loyalist paramilitaries to the extent that they could have stopped the killing if they had so wished.///

Maybe the MI5 do not do the killings themselves but just infiltrate those who do. Its been published that MI5 have joined the rebels in Libya for example.
"Maybe the MI5 do not do the killings themselves but just infiltrate those who do."
Which would seem like a sensible course of action for an organisation tasked with preserving the security of the UK.
During the troubles in NI Special Branch (not sure about MI5) infiltrated all sorts of dubious groups and had lots of informers who were also engaged in terrorism. Add to that the fact that some of the officers in the RUC had uncomfortably close links with terrorist groups. All of which is a long way from saying that MI5 has a mission statement to go round killing people.

"Its been published that MI5 have joined the rebels in Libya for example. "

Published where? That would be highly unlikely. Why would an organisation tasked with preserving the security of the UK get involved with military action in another country? I'm afraid MI5, and MI6 - are just buzz terms used by lazy thinkers in search of a bit of conspiracy theorising.

"///Its been published that MI5 have joined the rebels in Libya///

Put your mind back Icheria just before the Libyan conflict started. We sent in a number of personnel to talk with the rebels. Amongst them was a member of MI5. It turned out to be a farce when a farmer captured the small British contingent and they had to leave the country.
There is no suggestion that this was murder. I think we should be careful about these suggestions.

Apologies Icheria it wasn't MI5 but an MI6 agent
