What makes people who are born into a free society such as ours, go and take up arms against us?
Surely they should be tried for treason as British Nationals fighting against their own country.

If, and I stress the word If, they are tried and found guilty of treason then the least they should get is stripped of their nationality and shipped to whatever hellhole they came from, regardless of human rights. When they fire on our troops what human rights to they give Private Bloggs? I doubt this will happen though - they will probably get a council house in Bolton (sorry, Bolton) and benefits coming out of their ears

Of course, the bigger joke is that the Taliban will probably end up as trusted allies - like all the "freedom fighters" who killed British soldiers, from the IRA, right back to the Israelis and even the American colonists!

my suggestion bobbi was a serious one.

how long would the taliban debate their human rights if they were suspected of spying for western forces and found to be firing on the taliban? surely it should work the way of their beliefs so that no one can complain that their nation rights are being abused.

We are in a war type situation, and since there are also some in this country who would wish to do us harm, then surely laws should be introduced to cover situations such as this.

But in the meantime, if these British nationals are fighting for the Taliban then on capture (as I have said before) they should be turned over to the Afghanistan government, since we are only there at the invitation of their government.
