I have just read most of the posts about Amy Winehouse. I shall miss her voice and the person she was, yes, even with her demons.

Most of all I feel so sad for her parents, they had tried so hard to bring her back from the edge, I guess she didn't want to listen oh Amy, Amy Amy!

I do realise that there are many parents who for many reasons (illness, war et al) that do have to say goodbye to their children but in the great scheme of things this is surely the wrong way round.

So to Amy's parents, the 23rd psalm:

Changing the conversation a little bit, I thought leaving bottles of Vodka, Wine and Malibu a bit over the top left by mourners unless, the press put them there for a reaction!!!!

mam, I read the first posts which did not suggest to me it was a tribute. Yes I may have added comments which could be disrespectful and have came on tonight to make a statement. I also expressed my dissapointment from other members with regard to the child like name calling which has been one sided.

SOT there have been quite a few posts about Amy and they have all gone wayward, I have experience in drug addictions etc but do not see fit to post about people close to me (by the way no thieves or muggers amongst them), will say goodnight.

All three have nearly all gone to sleep on it. Maybe they dont want everyone seeing everyones opinion which is why they avoided expressing real answers, you will see I did not retaliate to their insults.

I think the point you are both missing is that the Op did not ask for opinions on addictions but rather was sympathising with Amy's family.

So the answerbank may be wrong if you are in the IN CROWD, and they say dont believe everything you read on the internet/papers. Sometimes if you look from the opposite side you get better answers.

i've come on to this thread at a much later time than gillygee,who started it with full respect to Amy and her parents,bless her. Just nasty to see people take it over for personal attention.
