8 newspapers have to pay out to him and each apologise to him - and the Mail and Sun were done for contempt of Court

Good for him.

When will the Press learn to to try and write news?

Why is it folk, and including some around here, automatically assume that someone is guilty before they are charged - and indeed before they are found guilty?

Any experiences of Jury Duty when you have been surprised at the eventul verdict from when you first heard the charges? Personally, I have never been called for duty, largely as I was always travelling.

Pilloried, called a paedophile, a voyeur, and a murderer. How much would that be worth to him?
Plenty, I hope.

So why do you persist then - do you have a thing about having to have the last word?
Question Author
Yes I hope so too, Sandy - I hope at least a 100k from each of the 8 newspapers. I dont know who has been nailed yet, other than the Sun and Mail.....One presumes the Express and Mirror...
I think I can remember him getting hung drawn and quartered on AB some months ago.
it's the Sun and the Mirror, I don't think the Mail's been found guilty of anything (apart from just existing, of course).
yes, several ABers will be waiting to hear from the libel lawyers

but not DT, to his great credit
Question Author
thank you, jno, it is indeed a rare honour to have that "credit" from you!

I can be damned for much else though, some of which I hadn't made the comment, others I stand by,
I always give credit where credit is due
in the thread JNO reposted I suggested, or asked, if he could sue some of the newspapers that had him tried and convicted before he'd even go to court.
I hope now, in his time of plenty, he remembers my good advice.

can you take your 10% do you think?.........
