With the election coming up, and this being the first time I've been allowed to vote, I'd like to be able to understand all the parties' policies in a bit more detail as i have no clue who to vote for!! Are there any websites around that tell you what the parties are all about?

Could try:

Then the "Issues Guide" under" Don't Miss"

One thing you will find when you are young, is that they all offer something tempting.
One thing you will learn when you are older, is that they all lie through their ar*e.

OK a quick guide:

New Labour: Control everything we know best, High taxation huge public sector, lots of counsellors and coordinators, socialists supressed, the world owes you a living. Must surrender to Europe.

Old Labour as above but they think socialism can work, all employers are ******** getting rich on the back's of the work force. Tax and spend, abolish defence.

Tory: minimal public sector, reduce taxation where possible, every man for himself, charity begins at home, tough on crime, Stop the advance of the EU, strong defence, the world does not owe you a living.

Libdem, PR, nuclear disarmament, high taxation, agree with the last person they spoke to.

Who do you all think is the best party? (if there is one of course!!)
Speaking as a fully paid up member of the cynics club, there is no "best" party because there is no "good" party - they all lie through their back teeth and are in politics for their own gain - no altruists!!
