don;t know about result, but they certainly won't do it again.
Mmmm...not sure that flippancy is ever appropriate regarding the death of anyone, Em10.
arti, really would you say the same had the guard been murdered.
A good result in my opinion.
I can only presume it's to give the Police the clearance for shooting two people (who deserved it).
i wasn't being flippant, nor did i post this.
My point is not whether or not their death was merited. I just find cheap soundbites about someone's death rather distasteful.
soundbite, not likely. Perhaps Kayless has something to add.
// The inquest is expected to take six weeks.//

Bet none of the legal people involved are on the minimum wage, so there is another robbery taking place.
Kayless are you suggesting there should never be an inquest when the police shoot someone? Or that we should just dispense with the niceties when journalists tell us that they were. Criminals and deserved it?
I invite you to live in a society where life is cheap and people get shot - for whatever reason - without comeback or investigation.
Then you might change your tune.
Jake - for once you and I agree.

"Death by the Sun's verdict?" Kayless, me thinks not.

How much did they have to pay out on Jo Yates landlord in Bristol recently?

The inquest will not “...give the Police the clearance for shooting two people (who deserved it).”. It is being held to establish the cause of death of the two deceased. However obvious that cause may seem to be the law, quite rightly, requires an inquest to be held into every sudden or unexplained death. And, (a very rare occurrence) jake and I also appear to be in agreement on this one. So what there is to hold an inquest into is “How did they die?” and “Who, if anybody, was responsible for their death”

There may well be police disciplinary hearings regardless of the outcome of the inquest, but these are separate from the Coroner’s enquiries.
Markland, who was standing some distance away, saw his accomplice shot down and then ran to where his fallen companion was and then appeared to pick up the gun.
He was then shot dead.
Some people here think this double shooting doesn't merit an inquest?
I expect they need to check the dead man actually had guns rather than table legs. The police have been known to kill people carrying table legs. Don't worry, they'll never be charged with anything, as if.
from the photos one guy is pointing a gun at the security man, most definitely not a table leg.
I wish people wouldn't use the word savages - they're CRIMINALS.

I am sure that any death from police action has to be thoroughly investigated, to ensure that police guidelines and protocols were followed, otherwise litigation can (and does) result.
they don't appear to have been criminals either, since the police didn't manage to get them to a court; I don't see anything in the report saying they've been convicted of a crime.
You are right, jno - I jumped the gun (if you will pardon the pun)
