BBC as bad as the NOTW ?
Obviously the BBC must have had a memory lapse when they broadcast their reports.
It seems it is only terrible when the papers use these private investigators.

You seem unable to grasp the difference between the use of perhaps illegal tactics in persuit of a serious story in the public interest and the tawdry sleaze and sensationalism that NotW was interested in.
The reason that anyone makes the link between you and RebelSouls is because of their obsession with the BBC, which you, in your obstinacy in seeing equivalence between what the Beeb did and what the NotW often did, seem to share.

<<Well i must apologise to Zeuhl i thought it was this scummy private investigator who has worked for the BBC that was hacking phones not the NOWT. >>
Apology accepted 4846.
As you may see from your linked article, Whittamore was a freelance who over many years was commissioned by many media organisations;
" clients were limited to 32 newspapers and magazines, from which 305 journalists made in excess of 17,000 requests for information."
Just because he did wrong in his recent work for the NoTW doesn't mean he did anything wrong while working for the BBC 10 years ago.
