Not that far out - West Sussex seaside actually

But it looks like people from Ankou's 'hood are slumming it down here to score drugs.
Burglary 24
Anti-social behaviour 88
Robbery 2
Vehicle crime 21
Violent crime 38
Public Disorder and Weapons 4
Shoplifting 13
Criminal damage and Arson 28
Other Theft 20
Drugs 9
Other crime 13

I find some of the stats incredibly unbelievable. We have a large Morrisons and Asda and a main street. And they claim just 13 shoplifting offences over the year. I know one of the security guards at Morrisons and he nabs 13 in a week. If that figure cannot be seriously believed, then it makes me doubt the others.
Ah you live by the sea!!!!

I expect your figures would be skewed if they included piracy, carousing, smuggling, keel-hauling and other sailor-based hijinks.
Ed, they do say it pays to advertise!
Living by the sea means that all the incidents are crammed into 50% of the circle (that is, unless you count seagull poo incidents).
I agree Gromit. There is a big tesco 5 mins from me and a famous shopping complex 10 mins away and yet the shoplifting stat was 1.

Now I'm dying to know what the robbery was!
as long as it wasn't the local bobby's computer
I think it was daylight robbery and it was the price of houses
Got the Pickfords van loaded and am on my way to jake - the pegs area, where do you live?
looks like should be moving any day soon.
This is where my brother lives, small quiet area in Cumbria so I think jake-the-peg must live in a massive field somewhere!

Gromit, on my map it says the figures are for last December. The 'area' seems to be more than 2 miles across.
One criminal damage or arson
Two violent crimes
One unspecified.
All other crimes: nil
(Bestiality is not recorded in this area, so the crime figures are always low)

The fools! Someone nicked the number plates off the car two weeks ago. Not recorded yet and it was as big crime for this area.
Antisocial Behaviour ... 228

That will be all the day trippers from London.
JJ, of course i knew we would get the blame, you want to meet some of the charmers i have met over the years, time we shut London down to more low lifes
I live in a small village in North Buckinghamshire - Nice in that you can still leave the back door unlocked when you go out - but it's a bit on the quiet side.

Still there was a murder a couple of years back - shows you that it can happen anywhere - we were expecting John Nettles to turn up
LOL em ...

=0)

But it can't be us, can it. We're happy to just smoke drugs, eat fish and chips, and have same gender love lives.

(or so the stereotype goes, LOL)
Rats - the link is for England and Wales only. Must check out Scottish statistics, but feel perfectly safe in my area.
I'm sure everyone in Dundee is well behaved and law abiding, maggs.

What with all that nice cake, and marmalade, and everything.
