John Terry

It is becoming more obvious that the FA are to strip John Terry of his England captaincy.
In view that he has not been found guilt yet, is this fair?
If so should Harry Redknapp also be sacked as Manager of Spurs, even though he has also not yet been found guilty?

I said on an earlier post.. that in many organisations someone accused of a similar thing would be suspended on full pay pending a hearing/resolution I believe that this should have been the case with JT as it has a bearing on his professional role and responsibilites. Not about guilt or innocence simply sensible practice
The fact that Anton's brother Rio plays alongisde Terry in the England team you would that brotherly love would cause a rebellion in the side especially as the England captancy was handed to Terry instead of Rio. But Rio has not uttered a peep and seems quite willing to do so. Maybe Anton is just stirring the muddy waters for self publicity which should never have been brought to court in the first place. Sorry should have been sufficient!
Sorry rowan, i hadn't seen another thread. I was just thinking though that if it is terrible that jt should captain england *if* he is guilty, surely it's just as bad to represent england by even being on the team?
Working in engagement and communications, i DO NOT understand who these silly football clubs have advising them (Thinking of Liverpool also). If someone where i worked gave such duff advice as this, they would be considering their role!

He allegedly called Ferdinand a "Black c***" Roy Keane called Mick McCarthy an "English C***" but carried on playing for Man United, managed Sunderland & Ipswich and now works as a summariser for ITV Sport.
Terry is still innocent until proven guilty and to be honest having a trial over something like this is silly really..Unless you are earning huge amounts of cash from it of course.

Yes they are both criminal cases where the charges relate to the individuals job role and responsibilities in both cases I think suspension with pay would be appropriate...but football is more about money and success at all costs then appropriate behaviour after all. Would this have even got this far if JT was a young superstar just coming into top form... probably not it would have been dealt with internally like the Suarez case ... ban over before the Euros sorted!!
