Drought, What Drought??
24 Answers
I know it's serious for you Southern folk but spare a thought for us "Up North" It never seems to stop raining here in the N W of England. We don't have water shortages but then we don't have nice weather. I would like a drought up here this year(please) just so I can look forward to more than 5 continual, uninterrupted dry days!!!

A large proportion of the town has its water supply boosted by pumping water from the River Kennet, south of the town. But all the waste water then drains into a tributary of the River Thames, north of the town. Not a drop goes back into the River Kennet, which is in a man made drought condition for a great deal of the year.
