could anyone out there tell me where in England is the stone monument dedicated to Maggie Bell(a witch) who apparently was 'byrnt' there in 1657. I saw the photograph on a programme called 'The Moors Murders Code'

It's Maggie Ball, apparently, and it was a place called Duncrub in Strathearn in Scotland. See the following link for more:

'Near Strathearn' not 'in'..!
It was Maggie Wall according to that Duncrub website. It's an interesting monument because, as the website points out, there's no record of any witch of that name being tried or executed. What struck me about the question was the date - while it was true that some witches were burned, by 1657 they'd have more likely to have been hanged.
